Katie Hurley is committed to bringing music into the lives of young children. She is a graduate of Shorter College with a degree in music education. She taught elementary school music in Bartow County for five years and was named Hamilton Crossing Elementary’s teacher of the year in 2003. Katie began teaching Kindermusik in order to join her love of children with her love of music. She is proud to offer children in Cartersville the same quality musical experience she wants for her own child: one that provides a foundation for future learning in all areas of development, and that can be shared with the entire family.

If you have not experienced a Kindermusik class with Katie, I would highly recommend it. My daughter, Lia, loves attending Kindermusik. She asks all week, “when is Kindermusik?” It is amazing how much she has grown since she started Kindermusik at 9 months old. The home materials are wonderful. Lia loves to listen to her CDs and read her books over and over and over.
At each stage in your child’s development, Kindermusik offers something that reinforces the joy of learning via a musical approach, reinforces appropriate developmental skills for them, and allows you a chance to watch and participate in the learning as well. It is amazing how much your child learns each week just during the 45 minutes that they are in class. Ms. Katie makes it fun and inviting for everyone that walks into her class. She has truly joined her love for music and children. She is an awesome teacher!

We have two girls, six and two and a half. They both started Kindermusik in Village class which was such a special time I shared with both the girls. Village is sweet, nurturing and we have wonderful memories from those classes. We have always played music to the girls, but having the expansive arrangements the Kindermusik CD's provide has exposed them to music I may not have thought to introduce at such a young age. My six year old fell in love with Opera when she heard the Cat's Duet. She was a "Wagner" Opera singer for halloween, she listens to Opera cd's and has been to two Operas. My youngest shares the same love for all types of music and both of them sing entire songs just on a whim. It is a beautiful sound to hear a child break out in song. We feel Kindermusik has enriched our children's lives in a way that will last a life time. It is one of the best investments we have made in their education and artistic growth. We all love Ms. Katie. She has a wonderful teaching and giving spirit, and a great love for music and song which shows every class. We appreciate her genuine passion and contagious attitude which is always carried with a big smile.

My son has attended Katie's Kindermusik classes since he was 5 months old, and loved every minute of it.
